VIVA LAS VEGAS!
Our biggest social and charitable event of the UU year, THE 24TH ANNUAL CHARITY AUCTION ON MARCH 20, is almost here!
Make your reservations ($25) now for a great evening of wine, fine food, and charitable giving!
At 4:30 p.m., the fun begins with a silent auction on the patio. Music, wine and light hors d'oeuvres will be served as you bid on a kaleidoscope of new treasures and/or gift cards to your favorite restaurants, salons, and other venues.
At 6:00 p.m., chef Brian Maitland-Smith and his UU kitchen helpers will serve a delicious gourmet dinner.
From 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Jay Shaplow, auctioneer, and Mark Benson, emcee, will conduct a live auction.
Remember, this is a charity event, not a hunt for bargains. Bid often and bid high!
Your bids will benefit equally our UU congregation and a very worthy charity, Immokalee Housing and Family Services (IHFS).
Since 1985, IHFS, a non-profit organization, has provided decent housing and needed social and educational services to farm workers and their families. Currently, IHFS houses about 330 residents, over half of them children, in two well-maintained Immokalee developments.
At 8:30 p.m., enjoy divine desserts and coffee.
At 9:00 p.m., have your raffle ticket ($20 each or 3 for $50) ready to win a five-night trip to Las Vegas! Raffle tickets are available in the foyer after Sunday service and in the UU office.
At 9:30 p.m. and after, check out your winnings! Or choose to check out before or after the church service on Sunday.
MARK YOUR CALENDARS FOR MARCH 20 TO SHARE IN THE SUCCESS AND FUN OF OUR BIGGEST FUNRAISER OF THE YEAR! SEE YOU THERE!
