The Social Justice Committee's mission is to nurture spirit, hope, love and action for a better world. Diverse outreach activities include Criminal Justice Reform, Education/Mentoring, Environmental Justice, Immigration Advocacy, Women’s' Health, Weekend Meals for Kids, Racial Justice, Climate Justice and the Angels Food Pantry.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • We reach inside and beyond our walls and partner with others, to achieve social justice initiatives, raise awareness, and form common cause to fight injustice, intolerance, and inequality.
  • Weekend Meals for School Kids Through generous contributions by UUCGN members and friends, volunteers shop, pack, and deliver meals weekly to five local elementary schools for food-insecure children.
  • "Split The Plate" is a monthly offertory split with local non-profit organizations dedicated to social justice in Collier County.
  • Moral Mondays meets second Mondays of the month and as posted at 6:30 PM. Focus areas for each month are shown below.
  • Social Justice Movies and Sandwiches Series: Meets third Sundays after the worship service.
  • 5 Calls: Five minutes once a week right from your home can make a difference with elected officials.
