Fundraising

Aside from our Pledge Campaign, the next-largest source of financial support for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Greater Naples (UUCGN) is our fundraising efforts. We appreciate any way you can contribute to our fundraising efforts, including donating, volunteering, hosting a home-event, or participating in a community event.

Our Activities

Host a Home Event

A major fundraiser for the benefit of the congregation is our Home-Hosted Events. Home-Hosted Events, typically an average of 20 special events, dinners, parties, cruises, garden tours, etc. that are hosted by members and/or friends of the congregation.

The bidding takes place on two consecutive Sundays in January, and the events themselves generally cluster over the next 4 months, although some are further out into the following autumn and early winter. A few examples:

Fundraising for Social Causes

We also hold several fundraisers each year to benefit an organization or organizations chosen by the Congregation under the guidance of the Social Justice Committee. Every three years a new partner is selected. In the past, these fundraisers have included jazz festivals and large cabaret-style celebrations with live and sometimes silent auctions.
