4.3 PROFESSIONAL AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT.
We have created a culture of excellence in congregational participation and leadership that models our UU Values visibly and boldly in the community.
4.3.1 Continue with series of three workshops on Leadership Training. Encourage all Committee chairs and
vice chairs to attend these workshops and give input into what training they would like to receive.
4.3.2 Create and offer prior to 2020 budget planning a workshop on goal setting and long-range planning.
4.3.3 Provide funds to subsidize travel expenses for board members to attend annual UUA General Assembly.

4.3.4 Provide at least two training opportunities each year for Religious Exploration and Youth group leaders
(Fall and Winter).
4.3.5 Promote intergenerational participation in as many opportunities as possible, both internally and
within the greater Naples community.
Long term (2020 goals):
Encourage committee chairs to invest in at least one on-line course, conference, or workshop to gain in their area of knowledge and best practices in volunteer leadership and respective domains.
Host a UUA regional leadership training conference at UUCGN.
Arrange for well-known leadership experts to speak at UUCGN, maybe co-sponsored by other faith organizations.
