Creating Our Future 2025 Summit Jan. 22-23, 2019

Over two days, January 22-23, 2019, UUCGN will be holding a "Creating Our Future 2025 Summit" bringing us together to initiate the building of our future.  Many organizations, in the for-profit, non-profit, and government sectors, are using an approach that calls for them to initiate their strategic planning process with a SOAR (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results) activity.

What is the SOAR process and why are we using it?  With SOAR we will identify and discuss our:

  • Strengths (what’s working well)

  • Opportunities (how we can add value to our stakeholders)

  • Aspirations (what our hopes and dreams for our future)

  • Results (how we can achieve our aspirations)

SOAR embraces Appreciative Inquiry (AI).  AI  focuses on identifying what is working well, analyzing why it is working well and then doing more of it. The basic tenet of AI is that an organization will grow in the direction where people focus their attention.

We value and need your ideas, voices and participation in "Creating Our Future 2025 Summit"?   Sign up and come to be a part of helping to create our future.  Please RSVP to this invitation with your name, phone, and email address and we'll provide you with updates and more details leading up to the event.  We are looking forward to your participation in this exciting process.

For those who cannot attend the Summit in January,  a one-day condensed AI workshop will be offered in February on a day to be determined.

The Summit Planning Committee welcomes two experienced consultants in strategic planning with Appreciative Inquiry, Charles Tweedly and Lena Neal, who are working with us to facilitate the Summit.
