EXPLORE THE VOTE AND THE BEAT GOES ON WITH MUSIC!
Last week we explored a little social justice by helping with Weekend Meals with Patty and Charlie Freydberg. Many children in our area get free lunch and breakfast at school but don’t have food on the weekends. We got a behind the scenes look and helped create 40 weekend bags. We also worked outside getting rid of grass and rocks to plant sustainable plants that need less of our precious water. Being resourceful and eco-friendly is an important learning experience. This week we are learning about the empowerment of voting with Janet Hoffman. We will plant the seed so they can begin to think what is important to them and what they would like to have a voice about in their lives. Also, Linda Swears will be to explore music (not ukulele) but a beat that began long ago.
