What We Teach

For Children and Youth

The playroom is staffed at every Sunday service. We have groups for children from Pre-K to 12th grade.  Please contact Mary Borland, Director of Religious Exploration and Congregational Engagement, for details:  mary@uunaples.org.

We are part of the Soul Matters Sharing Circle, which means our topics in the sanctuary, adult small groups (called Chalice Circles), and children's group sessions are on the same theme, so everyone can talk about the same thing and go deeper over the course of a month.

Soul Matters focuses on the 3 S's:

  • SILENCE - Meditation, mindfulness, and listening

  • SERVICE - Leadership and helping other

  • SUNSHINE - Connection to the body (movement) and being connected to nature

The following are Family Take-It-Home pages curated from Soul Matters by our Director of Religous Exploration and Congregational Engagement:

Explore these activities when you can (drive time, meal time, bed time, or anytime you have family time). These activities will allow you to stay connected whether you are able to come to our building or not, and will help you live out Unitarian Universalist values of love and justice.

The Youth Religious Exploration page describes a typical Sunday morning as it encompasses our children.
